Country moves to path of economic prosperity-NC President

Kathmandu, May 29 : Nepali Congress (NC) President Sher Bahadur Deuba has extended best wishes to all Nepali sisters and brothers at home and abroad on the occasion of the Republic Day-2075 BS.

Issuing a release today, NC President and former Prime Minister Deuba expressed deep respect and tribute to the brave martyrs who laid down their lives in course of historical people’s movements waged for the establishment and re-establishment of democracy.

Nepal was established a federal democratic republic under the leadership of the then President of Nepali Congress the late Girija Prasad Koirala following the accomplishment of the epochal People’s Movement in April 2006 (2062-63 BS) with the unprecedented sacrifice and devotion of Nepali people, reads the press release.

The country has witnessed a successful implementation of the Nepal Constitution after the conduction of local, provincial and federal (House of Representatives and National Assembly) elections, Deuba noted, adding that Nepal has come out from the transitional polity.

With the conclusion of the elections the country is moving to the historical path of new era, he claimed, hoping that the Republic Day would inspire to protect the Constitution, propel institutional stability of republic political system and bring the country to the path of economic prosperity.(RSS)
