Attempt to rape leads to death of the to-be-rapist

Ramechhap, Sept 13 : An elderly man has died as a teenager retaliated against the man who allegedly attempted to rape her.
Purna Bahadur Shrestha,65, of Rajagaon in Mudhajor, Ramechap municipality-7 died after the 13-year-old hit him with a rod for trying to commit the henious crime. The incident reportedly took place on Thursday morning, as the elderly tried to force himself on the girl who had gone to collect green fodder some distance away from her home.

She managed to free herself from the clutches of the man and rushed home, where she took up an iron rod and went to the man’s home to hit him with it. Following the incident, the girl went to the Police Post in Ramechap and surrendered along with the rod used in the incident, police said. Further investigation into the incident is underway.
