Prohibitory order lifted
Urlabari, Jan 28 : The prohibitory order issued by the local administration in order to control the tension that arose following the death of a girl child in a road accident this morning in Sundarharaicha municipality-9 has been lifted.
Eleven-year-old Laxmi Dhakal was killed after being hit by a tipper (Na. 3 Kha. 3355) on its way to Haraincha from Birat chowk. Following the incident, the agitated locals set the tipper as well as five other tippers on fire, according to DSP Ghanashyam Shrestha at the District Police Office, Morang.

Following the incident that took place in the morning, the district administration office imposed a curfew from Birat chowk to Belepur from 11:15 am until further notice. The curfew has however been lifted from 8:00 pm after an agreement was reached in a joint meeting between the civil society, the victim family, local people’s representatives and the administration.
