Students chip in Rs 12.5 million for a Myagdi school building reconstruction

Myagdi, April 12 : In a gesture of benevolence, Nepali students in Nepal and foreign land have extended a helping hand for the reconstruction of a school building in Myagdi.

They have donated Rs 12.5 million for the construction of a building for Mahadev Secondary School at Raghuganga rural municipality-1.

The donation amount will be handed to the school management on the occasion of the school’s golden jubilee anniversary on April 14, said Yog Kumar Phagami, Chairperson of the Begkhola Welfare Society, an NGO, which has initiated the donation collection, at a press conference in the district today.

The donation amount was collected from among Nepali students in Nepal, Japan, Hong Kong, Korea and the United States of America.

Addressing the event, the school former head-teacher Dut Bahadur Garbuja said the donation is a lot for the school. It has a total of 170 students
