KU, Ullens Foundation sign LoI for cyber security course
6 Aug, Kathmandu : The Kathmandu University (KU) and Ullens Education Foundation have signed a Letter of Intent (LoI) to collaboratively develop and deliver academic courses in Cyber Security and Machine Learning.
This partnership aims to enhance the educational offerings of both institutions and align their programmes with global standards and industry demands, it is said.
This collaboration is expected to address the increasing importance of Cyber Security and Machine Learning in the modern digital era, according to the Ullens Education Foundation.
The LoI outlines several key areas of collaboration, including the exploration of human resource needs in Cyber Security and Machine Learning at global, regional, and local levels, said the President of Ullens Education Foundation, Som Paneru.
Additionally, it involves evaluating and recommending necessary legal and policy changes to facilitate the development of these academic programmes, devising mechanisms for running the courses at the Nala Constituent Campus and exploring further opportunities for a long-term partnership to promote academic excellence, research collaboration, and the continuous development of new educational programmes.
The LoI was signed by Manish Pokharel, Dean of the School of Engineering on behalf of KU, and Paneru, President of Ullens Education Foundation in the presence of KU Vice Chancellor Prof Bhola Thapa and Registrar Prof Achyut Wagle.
