Pashupati area cleanup campaign from tomorrow

Kathmandu, March 10: Rashtradev Bhagwan Pashupatinath temple area will be cleaned every Saturday from tomorrow. The employees of the Ministry of Culture, Tourism and Civil Aviation and 21 agencies under the Ministry have prepared to clean Pashutinath area for two hours every Saturday.It is said that the cleaning campaign will be conducted for three months.

Minister of Culture, Tourism and Civil Aviation, Sudan Kiranti, informed that since the Pashupati Area Development Fund alone could not carry out regular cleaning, on the instructions of the ministry, employees are prepared to clean for two hours every Saturday. According to him, it has been decided to conduct a comprehensive cleaning program every Saturday morning from 8 am to 10 am by officials and employees of 21 agencies under the ministry.

Purnasangam Jethara, a council member of Pashupati Area Development Fund informed that the Ministry has instructed that the Pashupati Area Development Fund should provide the materials used in the sanitation in the collective cleaning with the staff. It is said that the ministry has also given instructions to all agencies to participate in sanitation through a secretary-level decision. Officials of the Department of Tourism, Department of Archeology, National Archives, Office of Nepal Copyright Registrar, Language Commission, Pragya Academy, Music and Drama Academy, Fine Arts Academy, Civil Aviation Authority, Nepal Airlines Corporation and Cultural Institute participated in the cleanliness drive every Saturday morning.

And it is said that the employees will participate. Similarly, Tourism Board, Hanumandhoka Palace Museum Care and Development Committee, Patan Palace Museum Care and Development Committee, Nepal Tourism and Hotel Management Foundation, Narayanhiti Palace Museum and Republic Monument Management and Operations Development Committee, Taragaon Development Committee, Buddhist Philosophy Promotion and Monastery Development Committee, Nepal Officials and employees of Panchang Adhikari Development Committee and Boudhanath Area Development Committee will also participate.
