Cultural features spreading Nepal’s identity: Minister Baskota
Banepa, July 7 : Minister for Communications and Information Technology Gokul Prasad Baskota has said that Nepal’s cultural specialties are the things to make Nepalis familiar in the world.
Addressing a dance festival at Banepa of Kavre on Saturday, Minister Baskota said that the identity of Nepalis has rested within the cultural characteristics.
He added that the Sherpa dance performed by the people above Charikot by wearing Bakkhu costume has a unique attraction in the world while the dance performed by Tamang community has its own richness, ensuring good attraction to all.
Minister Baskota was of the view that the cultural festivals have their own arts and culture, and they have encouraged us smile and live a life.
On the occasion, Minister Baskota said that the province assembly of Province No. 3 has already allocated Rs 20 million to establish the central office of the national arts council in Banepa.
On the occasion, province assembly member Basundhara Humagain pledged their support for the development of arts and cultures and urged all to unite for the cause of cultures.
