Pashupatinath symbolises legacy of people of Nepal and India: writes Indian PM Modi
Kathmandu, May 12 : Visiting Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi has defined the Pashupatinath Temple as the symbol of common legacy of the people of Nepal and India.
Putting his words on a special visitors’ book kept at the Pashupati Area Development Trust (PADT) following his special puja at the temple today, he wrote this, wishing for peace, progress and prosperity of the people of both countries.
He expressed his hope that Nepal-India Dharmashala (guest house) being constructed at the Pashupatinath Area with the support of India would be of new conveniences to pilgrims.
The Indian Prime Minister thanked the arrangements made by the PADT and the Nepal government regarding his two-day State visit. He mentioned in the book that he was pleased to pay homage to the Pashupatinath Temple second time as the Prime Minister of India. Prior to this, he had been in the temple to offer special puja on August 3, 2014.(RSS)
