Kathmandu, April 22 : A joint meeting of water resources officials from Nepal and India begins here tomorrow with the goal of speeding up the much-awaited Pancheswar Multi-purpose Project.
The meeting of the Energy Secretary-level governing board and join-secretary level Joint Committee is taking place to move the project ahead by streamlining the policy and programmes of the Pancheswar Development Authority and the financial matters, CEO of the Authority Mahendra Gurung said. Special efforts will also be made during the meeting to resolve the differences in the detailed project report of the Pancheswar Project. Deliberations on the project resumes after it was raised during the recent state visit of Prime Minister KP Sharma Oli to India.
