Israeli Airstrike on Tyre Southern Lebanon Leaves 5 Dead
6 Nov, Beirut : Five people were killed and another injured in an Israeli airstrike targeting the town of Al Shahabiya in the Tyre district of southern Lebanon.
The Lebanese Ministry of Health announced that the preliminary death toll from the Israeli airstrike on Barja (Mount Lebanon) last night has risen to 20 dead and 14 wounded. Rescue and rubble removal operations are still ongoing.
The National News Agency (NNA) reported that Israeli warplanes raided the towns of Yahmor Al Shaqif and Arnoun, amid artillery shelling of eastern Yahmor, Nabatieh District (southern Lebanon).
In Tyre, warplanes raided the town of Deir Qanoun Al Nahr, causing extensive damage to property.
Lebanon has been subjected to Israeli aggression since October 2023, but since the end of September, the Israeli entity has increased the pace of aerial and artillery bombardment in an unprecedented manner, expanding the scope of its targeting to extend to the capital, Beirut, which led to the killing and wounding of thousands of Lebanese, in addition to forcing more than a million people to flee their homes.
