Four members of a family injured in landslide, property worth tens of thousands rupees destroyed
Trishuli, Nuwakot, July 19 Four members of a family were injured when landslide buried their house at Suryagadhi rural municipality-3 this morning.
Nabaraj Shrestha, 50, his wife Niru, 46, daughter Nisha, 22, and son Bikas, 18, were injured when landslide buried their two-storey house, said Chief at the District Police Office, Superintendent of Police, Basanta Kunwar.
Police rescued the injured and brought them to Bidur-based City Hospital for treatment. Property worth six million rupees was damaged in the incident, said police.
Similarly, landslide has buried two houses and drinking water tank at Tadi rural municipality on Wednesday night. Similarly, other 14 houses are at the risk of landslide.
Police said that property worth Rs 1.5 million was destroyed when landslide buried the house and cowshed of Bir Bahadur Tamang Syangtan.
According to the District Police Office, property worth Rs 1.5 million was destroyed when the landslide buried the house and cowshed of Hari Bahadur Lama of the same place. (RSS)
