Chair Dahal urges India to resolve border problems
Kathmandu, May 12 : CPN (Maoist Centre) Chairperson Pushpa Kamal Dahal ‘Prachanda’ has urged visiting Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi to address the problems related to the liaison office of Indian Embassy in Biratnagar and Nepal-India border.
In a meeting with the visiting Indian PM Modi here today, Chairperson Dahal expressed confidence that the persisting bilateral relations between the two countries would further deepen if the problems surfaced along the border and liaison office in Biratnagar were resolved.
Chair Dahal shared that he had urged the Indian PM to address the problems being faced by Nepali people along the border and the liaison office at Biratnagar.
The Indian side had established a liaison office of its Embassy at Biratnagar-13, Malaya Road in 2065 BS noting that it would be easier to coordinate and deliver relief and rescue to the survivors of Koshi flood.
Chairperson Dahal informed media that in the meeting he had mentioned before Indian PM Modi that Nepal has anticipated important cooperation from India to her bid to steer ahead to prosperity with the implementation of the new constitution.
Matters related to mutual benefits and bilateral interests were discussed during the meeting.(RSS)
