Three Star beats Police Club 4-3 in a tie-breaker

Mangalbare, Ilam, April 26 : Three Star Club beat Nepal Police Club, Kathmandu 4-3 in a match under the 4th International Invitation Mai Valley Gold Cup underway in Ilam.
This victory sent the Three Star into semi finals. The 1-1 draw played until extra 15 minutes after the stipulated 90 minutes led to the tie-breaker. Nepal Police took the lead with Nir Kumar Rai who scored in the 27th minute with a pass from Rejin Subba.

Three Star equalled by scoring in the 73rd minute. Rajin Thapa’s free-kick turned into a goal.
Three Star’s Captain Nirajan Khadka, Bimal Gharti Magar and Rupesh KC scored a goal each in a tie-breaker, while Sunil Bal missed it. For Police Club, Rejin, Tej Tamang and Dinesh Rajbamshi scored. Suman Lama and Hem Tamang’s hits were saved. Three Star’s goalkeeper Alen Neupane was declared man of the match.(RSS)
