Emphasis on trade, investment, tourism with neighbouring countries
Kathmandu, April 17: Minister for Foreign Affairs Pradip Kumar Gyawali has said that friendly and balanced relationship with the neighbouring countries would be prioritized.
At a news conference organized by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs today, Minister Gyawali said foreign relations would be expanded through the mobilization of Nepal’s diplomatic mechanisms adding that Nepal’s socio-economic development would be ensured by depicting Nepal as a progressive, democratic and inclusive nation in the international arena.
He said that relations with the neighbouring countries would be developed on trade, investment, tourism and peoples’ levels.
Minister Gyawali added that supports and assistance from the development partners would be managed based on trust and goodwill for development and prosperity.
He was of the view that the Prime Minister’s recent state visit to India has supported to build mutual confidence further.
Likewise, Minister Gyawali is leaving here for China at the invitation of his Chinese counterpart Wang Yi.
Minister Gyawali said that he would hold formal bilateral meeting with the Foreign Minister for China Wang and also meet the high-level leaders in Beijing. Likewise, talks would be held to implement the agreements inked in the past, he said.
Minister Gyawali is scheduled to return home on Saturday.(RSS)
