Kathmandu Goldens to meet Team Chauraha Dhangadhi in finals of DPL cricket
Dhangadhi, April 12 : Kathmandu Goldens reached the finals beating Mahendranagar United by five wickets in today’s match under the second edition of ongoing Dhangadhi Premier League (DPL).
Invited to bat first after losing the toss, the Mahendranagar United made 142 runs in the stipulated 20 overs. It lost nine wickets.
Chasing the target of 143 runs, the Kathmandu Goldens achieved the target in 18.2 overs at the loss of five wickets.
Goldens’ Subodh Bhati hit 52 runs off 18 balls with five sixes and four fours. Likewise, Amit Shrestha made 26 runs from 19 balls including five boundaries.
Gyanendra Malla contributed 25 runs, and Bhupendra Thapa 15 runs.
As for the United, Punit Mehara took two wickets, while Bhuvan Karki, Punit Bista and Rabin Chhetri one each. The Goldens will play against Team Chauraha Dhangadhi on Friday.(RSS)
