National Delphic Council Nepal Celebrates 29th Foundation Day of International Delphic Council
December 17, Kathmandu. The Nepal chapter, known as the ‘National Delphic Council Nepal’, took part in a virtual program organized to celebrate the 29th foundation day of the ‘International Delphic Council’. Approximately one hundred chapters from around the world participated in the program, which was held on Friday afternoon by the non-profit organization dedicated to the global promotion and advancement of art and culture, including the major organization International Delphic Council.
The Delphic Council promotes various arts such as Films, Musical Arts, Performing Arts, Language Arts, Visual Arts, and more. The International Delphic Council has its own chapters active in more than 150 countries. This organization was established in Nepal two years ago, and Nepal is organizing various national and international events.
Following the event, Sridev BL, the president of the Nepal Chapter, emphasized the organization’s purpose and stated that it is working with a clear mission to facilitate the development and preservation of artistic and cultural heritage in Nepal. “Promoting the values of creativity, innovation, and cultural exchange, this organization aims to promote the efforts being made in the field of Nepali art and culture globally and to promote such art, literature, and creative works by the organization itself,” said BL.
Vice President Jiwan Parajuli mentioned that the Nepal Chapter is part of a large global network of the International Delphic Council. Parajuli said, “This international network provides an opportunity for Nepali art and artists and Nepali culture to participate in various international platforms, where they can exhibit their talent and cultural heritage in a wide way. Also, we can use this network to exchange our ideas, experiences, and artistic practices with individuals and groups from different artistic and cultural backgrounds.”
Representing Nepal, founder and president Sridev BL, founder and vice president Jiwan Parajuli, founder and secretary Surya Bahadur Raskoti, founder and members Sarada Khadka Aryal and Deepak Bista Gauli participated in the foundation day program. Honorary member of Nepal Chapter and President of Nepal Movie Artists Association Mohan Niraula, Honorary member and outgoing President of Nepal Movie Artists Association Rabindra Khadka, Vice President of Nepal Film Association Gopal Kayastha, Treasurer of Nepal Movie Artists Association Sunil Katuwal, Secretary of Nepal Film Producers Association Kisan Pokharel, Nepal Journalism Development Society President Madhav Prasad Tiwari, and others were present.
