School building constructed with Chinese support
Lamjung, June 6 : The government of China has constructed a modern building for a school at a cost of Rs 830 million. The construction works of the building of the Bhairab Secondary School at Rainas municipality-9 of Lamjung have been completed. Mayor of Rainas municipality, also the chairperson of school management committee, Singha Bahadur Thapa, said that the four-storey school building was constructed on eight ropanis of land.
The building has 68 rooms including staff room, a seminar hall, three library rooms and one sitting room. Solar lights have been installed at different parts of the school area while a basketball court and parking area have also been constructed there.
According to the school, the labourers were also brought from China for the construction of school building.
The School Management Committee said that the construction of the school building was started from 2074 BS with a target to complete it within three years. It was completed on June 4. The school, established in 2014 BS was damaged by Gorkha earthquake, and was compelled to carry out teaching learning activities in temporary structures.
Now the students are happy after getting a modern new building. The school has 300 students.
The Chinese government constructed the school building in Lamjung in course of constructing two schools in mountainous region by implementing the announcement of constructing 10 best model schools following the Gorkha earthquake. (RSS)
