Pokharel elected Chair of civil servants union

Ratnanagar, March 21 : Gopal Prasad Pokhrel has been elected the President of Nepal Civil Servants Union.
Pokhrel defeated Rajendra Budhathoki in the elected held for the post at the seventh general convention of the Union held here last night. Pokhrel won by a margin of 30 votes.

Likewise, Surendra Adhikari was elected the senior Vice-president while Uttam Kumar Katwal was elected the Vice-president. Subas Koirala was elected the General Secretary unanimously, according to election officer Yadunath Khanal.
The convention concluded yesterday with the election of 80 representatives for the new executive committee including 26 office-bearers. A total of 545 delegates from across the country took part in the convention that began on March 18. (RSS)
