UML senior leaders join NC’s festival reception
Kathmandu, Oct 28: Top leaders of the CPN (UML) attended a festival reception organised by the Nepali Congress (NC) today at the party central office Sanepa. Former Prime Minister and UML chair KP Sharma Oli, senior vice chair Ishwor Pokhrel, vice chair Bishnu Poudel, leaders Pradeep Gyawali, Raghuji Pant, Chhabilal Bishwakarma and Bishnu Rimal visited Sanepa to join the reception.
In his response to a query about ‘questions’ over political parties regarding various political development in the nations, Oli, the leader of the major opposition, said such questions were intended and they would be addressed in an appropriate time. The NC has observed the tradition of organizing this festival reception annually on Kojagrat Purnima, the last day of the Dashain festival, since the year 2034 BS.
It will conclude 5:00 pm today. This tradition was initiated in 2034 BS in honor of NC’s founding member, BP Koirala, who got back to home on Push 16, 2033 BS (December 30, 1976) with a policy of national unity and reconciliation, following his exile in India.
