Susan arrested for character assassination with fake Facebook ID

Kathmandu, Aug 30: The police team of Kathmandu Valley Crime Investigation Office has arrested one person on the charge of character assassination by posting obscene photos and videos on a fake Facebook ID. The arrested person is 25-year-old Susan Chowguthi, resident of Bhaktapur municipality-14, said Ravindra Regmi, spokesperson of the Kathmandu Valley Crime Investigation Office and Superintendent of Police.

According to him, Chowguthi used to befriend girls on social media Facebook and take photos and videos under various pretexts. According to the police, Chauguthi created a fake Facebook account by misusing the obscene photos and videos taken and published the photos and videos.

According to the police, he was arrested because the preliminary investigation revealed that he was involved in character assassination by sending the same photos and videos to the victim’s relatives and violating the Electronic Transactions Act, 2063. According to the Kathmandu Valley Crime Investigation Office, the arrested Chauguthi has been sent to Police Headquarters, Cyber ​​Bureau Bhotahiti for necessary investigation and action.
