Prime Minister announced three lakh prize to the winning cricketer
Kathmandu, March 17: Prime Minister Pushpa Kamal Dahal ‘Prachanda’ has announced a prize of Rs.3,00,000. He announced the award while honoring the winning players this morning at the government residence Baluwatar. “I am very happy. The way you played yesterday, not only you won, the country won. The self-esteem of the country has increased, the pride of the nation has increased. May your performance be even better in the coming days, I wish you all the best in advance”, while honoring the players, Prime Minister Dahal said – “I wish you more success for the World Cup selection. I will be with you in your happiness and sorrow.” Prime Minister Dahal mentioned that even earlier, the government has already awarded Rs 2 lakh to people.
Prime Minister Dahal has instructed the National Sports Council (Rakhep) to immediately install modern floodlights and score boards at the cricket ground in Kirtipur. He said, “In this context, I also express my commitment to make necessary arrangements on behalf of the Government of Nepal to rapidly advance the construction of cricket stadiums under construction in various places in the country including Mulpani, Chitwan.” On Thursday, Nepal defeated the United Arab Emirates (UAE) by nine runs.
Prime Minister Dahal has assured that the government will respect the hard work of cricket players and will develop more physical infrastructure and arrange more facilities for the players in the future. Member Secretary of National Sports Council (Rakhep) Tanglal Ghising and other officials also participated in the Prime Minister’s residence. On Thursday, Prime Minister Dahal himself reached Kirtipur Crimet Ground and encouraged the players.
