Security operational plan implemented
Citwan, March 15: Aiming at the independent student union election to be held on 5th of Chait, a security mobilization plan has been implemented in the district. The district police office has implemented the plan targeting 16 campuses where elections will be held in Chitwan. According to Deputy Superintendent of Police Vijayraj Pandit, spokesperson of the office, 400 policemen will be mobilized under the plan.
A plan has been implemented with the security of the college where the election will be held, mobile patrolling, and preparation teams to mobilize as needed. He said that the plan is going to be made more effective as suspicious items are being found targeting the elections. According to the Swaviyu election schedule, after the publication of the names of the candidates, the student organizations are now in the process of campaigning.
He said that the plan was implemented after studying and analyzing the possible incidents that may occur during the campaign. Pandit said that work is being done in coordination with the campus administration and the election officer regarding the election. Chief District Officer Surendra Paudel said that a coordinated security strategy has been adopted for the Swaviyu elections. He said, “Security arrangements have been made in coordination with the college administration in the college where the Swaviyu elections will be held.”
