The school is earning one and a half lakh monthly from the vegetable market

Tulashipur, March 14: Center Secondary School located in Tulsipur sub-metropolitan city-6 of Dang has started earning millions from the vegetable market. A vegetable market was built on 12 katha land of the school. After the construction of the market, the school started earning income from January 2075.

An agreement was reached between the sub-metropolitan municipality, vegetable and fruit traders and the school for the establishment of a vegetable market there. From that vegetable market, the school is now earning Rs. 157,000. Principal Bhagwat Paudel said that rent is collected from 36 shops in the vegetable market. Previously, the said rent was collected by the sub-metropolitan city.

Mohan Poudel, the chief administrative officer of the sub-metropolitan city, said that the sub-metropolitan city has yet to pay about Rs 4.4 lakh that it has raised to the school. The vegetable market has come into operation at a cost of Rs 2 crore 33 lakh. Madhav Ghimire, Chairman of the Vegetable Market Management Committee, said that the rent of a shop has been fixed at Rs 5,500. In addition to vegetable trade, fruit trade is also being done in the vegetable market.
