Let all parties unite to strengthen federalism: Janardan Sharma
Kathmandu, 24 Feb: CPN (Maoist Center) Member of Parliament Janardan Sharma has urged all parties concerned to take the country forward on the journey of prosperity by successfully implementing the constitution obtained through sacrifices while promoting the federal democratic republic.
Giving his views at the special time of today’s meeting of the House of Representatives, he emphasized that a common consensus should be reached for the construction of socialism based on democratic values and beliefs. He said that the local government, which is the government at the doorstep of the people, should be made strong and capable.
He drew the attention of the government to make the provincial government strong and capable, and the work of making various laws should be carried forward immediately to strengthen the federalism. He mentioned that the goals of the periodic plan have not been met and that there are problems due to various reasons, and the complications seen in the implementation should be removed.
Presenting the fact that the land will become barren, the immense natural resources will be wasted, and the youth will be forced to go abroad, he said that the grand campaign of prosperity should be started by making good use of the unused resources. He made it clear that the government should immediately take initiatives to solve the problem as the citizens were suffering due to the mismanagement of microfinance.
He emphasized on promoting a balanced foreign policy. Expressing his objection to the way in which the constitutional president is to be elected as the executive president, he said that the issue should be settled on the basis of national consensus.
