Baglung, July 6 : The death toll of the Mustang tipper accident that took place this afternoon reached 19, the police confirmed. Thirteen labourers were injured in the incident that occurred at Syangboche of Lo Ghekar Damodarkunda Rural Municipality in the district.
The tipper was carrying the workers of Beni-Korala road section. Police Head Constable Krishna Gopal Pariyar said that seriously injured four were sent to Pokhara in a helicopter of Air Dynasty for further treatment while five others taken to district headquarters of Mustang for treatment.


Chief District Officer of Mustang Shishir Poudel said that preparations were ongoing to send other injured to Kathmandu in the helicopter of Nepal Army.
CDO Poudel said rescue operations were on in the site and details of the incident was awaited. The incident site is some 50 kms from the district headquarters of Mustang.
Deputy Superintendent of Police (DSP) of Mustang, Mahendra Khadka, shared that police personnel from Jomsom have been deployed to the site.
Engineer of Beni-Korala road section, Jagat Prajapati, said the Biruwa Construction Company has taken the responsibility for the construction of Beni -Korala road section.
