Excessive snowfall in Mustang

Mustang, Feb 12: With the incessant snowfall in upper Mustang, life has been badly affected since Sunday evening. With snow blanketing the upper parts of the district the temperature has dipped and freezing cold has gripped the normal life in Muktinath, Lomanthang, Thorpass, Chhoser, Chhonup, Phuwa, Nechyung among other nearby places.
Meanwhile, transport has also been disrupted by the snowfall in these areas. The areas received snowfall second time in this winter season. Locals are forced to confine themselves indoors due to the cold.

Annapurna Conservation Area Project, Lomangthang chief Tulasi Dahal shared that the snowfall is continuous since Sunday evening.
The areas are witnessing heavy snowfall and wind blowing as well.
However, farmers are found happy expecting better harvesting. (RSS)
