3 deaths, 274 new cases of coronavirus infection
Kathmandu, July 30 : The Ministry of Health and Population today said that 274 new individuals tested positive for the coronavirus in the past 24 hours, taking the tally to 19,547 in the country. According to the Ministry, three people died of coronavirus infection and the total number of deaths reached 52.
In a regular press briefing, Ministry’s Spokesperson Dr Jageshwor Gautam said that 6,304 people were tested from different laboratories across the country in the previous 24 hours. So far, 364,648 people had PCR test for Corona Virus in the country.
Similarly, 227 people returned home after full recovery from the virus in the past 24 hours. With this, a total of 14,248 individuals have recovered from the infection. A total of 13,102 people remained quarantined while 5,227 individuals are in isolation centres as active cases of the coronavirus.
Meanwhile, 45 new cases of coronavirus were found in Kathmandu valley. Dr Gautam said that 41 in Kathmandu and two each in Bhaktapur and Lalitpur were confirmed during the PCR tests in different hospitals in the past 24 hours.
